World Indegenous DayWORLD INDIGENOUS DAY AND INDENTIFICATION OF IPs OF NEPAL
On the occasion of 16th world indigenous day, the indigenous people of Nepal which are not listed by the government of Nepal, organized different programmes. On 24th baisakh 2067 , the Secretary general of Bahing Kirat Mulukhim, Mekh raj Sustocha Bahing(Dhiren) presented the working paper on behalf of unlisted IPs in the programme where Spokesperson Subash Chandra Nembang was present as the chief guest. The chairperson of the programme was Y.B. Kulung of NGO-Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Nepal, and these people were present at the programmme as guest:Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) Rep Raj Kumar Lekhi, National Indigenous Women Federation Nepal (NIWF) Chandra Kumari Gurung, According to the presented paper there are 24 communities left to enlist in the Nepal government list including Bahing. In the previous census there has been a misguide in the exact number of Bahing people and there religion. So, in the coming census, to find out the exact number of Bahings and the fact about their religion, Bahing Kirat Mulukhim request all of Bahing people to provide the following information about these subject: Caste: Bahing Language: Bahing Religion: Kirat Phribddim Tumloo Yaloo Clan(Thar): Tamrocha, Hojupacha, Yumbucha, Diburcha, Dungmocha, Mupucha, Reke(roke), Dilingbacha, Piyacha, Rawallocha, Myarsacha, Prongmocha, Kharadiburcha, Nambyarsacha, Sechocha, Luticha/Lutichha, Hangucha, Moplocha, Hwalindi, Munari, Tonimi, Susto/Sustocha, Ripocha, Tolacha, Jailung, Muliwa, Rimansacha, Kharayulcha, Phyakticha and Gyaldarcha. Bahing Kirat Mulukhim organized the one day awareness programmme in the Bahing community of Ilam district about the population census which is going to be held in 2068 to bring the exact and fact information about the caste, religion, language, and other different information about the Bahing people. Similar kind of programmme was organised in Sunsari and Morang district on 2067/07/28 and 2067/07/27 respectively.
